During the pandemic, many companies were forced to be 100% remote with stay-at-home orders in place. Fast forward to today, these companies have realized that employees can be just as productive remotely as they are in the office. Here at Immuware, we carry that belief into the present.
Immuware first started as a consulting project in 2016. A large healthcare system in Chicago needed a straightforward way to track immunization compliance for their workforce, and the most robust EMRs did not offer what they needed. Over the next several years, our parent company Carminati Consulting continued its consultation line of business while growing the Immuware client portfolio and continuously improving the Immuware product. During the pandemic (late 2020 – 2021) we made the transition to becoming a SaaS firm. Around this time, we also decided to become a fully remote company.
Before the pandemic, we were essentially a hybrid company, employing individuals all over North America, while having a standing office in downtown Chicago. As the use of the office dwindled throughout the course of the pandemic, we decided as a company, that the downtown building on Monroe St would be a space for gathering but not for day-to-day work.
While some may criticize stating that you cannot have the same sense of camaraderie as you do in an office, here at Immuware we beg to differ. As a company, we do many activities remotely to ensure we feel connected as a team throughout the year. One of those activities includes a quarterly newsletter to connect further and keep up with each other. Our newsletters often have everything from significant life events to the small peculiar things we may encounter during our daily lives. Every quarter, we also have team remote lunches with members of our team whom we may not interact with on a daily basis, as well as quarterly in-person team engagements for team members in the Chicagoland and Tampa Bay areas.
